Description
Hello:)
I was thinking that it could be useful to make the penguin (on the top-left of each page) a link to the home page.
Kind Regards,
Eva

Hi Eva,
That is a totally logical suggestion. But it might not be as easy as it would seem.
The penguin image you are watching is a background image; it's no different than the other "gray and white" penguin, visible in the background of the header of most pages. Being a background, it's (relatively) easy to change its looks, but making it interactive is a completely different thing.
I will investigate whether it is possible to include a "proper clickable logo plugin" in Redmine/Chiliproject. However, I consider this a low priority issue; it might take some time to get it done, since other more pressing issues will come in first.
Best regards,
Enrique

I've been wondering since a few days about the OHWR logo. Why a robotized penguin? This is a bit of an obvious cliche, that connects the site to the Linux world.
But as Richard Stallman would clarify: the free software world initiative is GPL, GNU plus Linux, not only Linux.
I find the logo beautiful, especially as lay graphical artist, but I wonder if the purpose here is to be identified as "yet another bunch of Linux freaks", or as "another breed of freedom fighters". If we want to be faithful to the free software guys then we should have also a robotized gnu standing next to the penguin.
Or, why not choosing another animal for the open hardware initiative? I try envision a sort of porcupine or hedgehog with wires instead of spikes.
But I am very bad in drawing, so I cannot turn my thoughts into something visual.
Is this an idea worth elaborating?
Cheers,
Andrea
