GSerial and uart management port
It turns out that linux on a PC doesn't see
this usb port connected, as a consequence it was not creating
/dev/ttyACMx device. The strange thing is that I was able to flash the
switch using exactly the same port. Another interesting thing
described in 6 steps below:
0. no ttyACM0 after connecting to usb-uart management port in the front
panel
1. comment out two lines in /etc/inittab
#ttyGS0::respawn:/bin/ash --login
#ttyS0::respawn:/bin/ash --login
2. reboot the switch
3. rmmod g_serial
4. insmod g_serial
5. ttyACM0 appears on my computer
Solutions:
doing: insmod, rmmod, insmod of g_serial in init.d solves the problem
but it's a dirty hack
