V5 - Check if can make card autocalibrate or have calibrate output
The current design can do a zero-level calibration of the input, but has
no possibility to enter a known input signal level to allow the
calibration of the gain.
For a high precision calibration, currently an external, known voltage
is generated by a special calibrated test box or by another known
reference voltage.
- Check if it is possible to inject on the card itself a know precise
voltage to each input that can be used for the calibration.
- it is likely not possible for space reasons (need another switch for each channel).
- if not possible, check if a reference voltage can be output on a
small connector so that people may calibrate by using just a special
cable and do not need any other expensive or hard to get device.
- could one possibly even use the trigger input Lemo to output the calibration signal? That way with a simple loopback cable on the front one could do the calibration, even in the field.
- Make sure that all three ranges can be calibrated with the chosen method.
