VXS DSP FMC Carrier
Project description
The VXS DSP FMC Carrier is an FMC carrier that can hold two FMC cards. The FMC mezzanine slot uses a high-pin count connector (as opposed to the OHR developments Simple PCIe FMC carrier, FMC PCIe Carrier (PFC) and the VME FMC carrier.
This board is optimised for the functionality required by RF applications and will be usable with most of the FMC cards designed within the OHR project (e.g. ADC cards, Fine Delay).

Main Features
- Compliant with VITA41 VXS offering 8 full-duplex giga-bit links to
the VXS interconnect fabric.
o With 2 I2C busses to allow control of both the A and B Switch Boards. - 2 Virtex 5 FPGA (XC5VLX110T-1FF1136)
o One dedicated to system tasks (Main)
o One fully available for the user applications (FMC)
o Intercommunication between with Wishbone and dedicated gigabit connections - 1 Analog Devices Sharc DSP (ADSP-21-369KBPZ-3A)
- 2 HPC (High Pin Count) FMC slots
o 160 user signals on each FMC slot
o 4 full-duplex giga-bit connections to each FMC slot - 16 Timing in and outputs from the Main FPGA to P2 to enable a physical timing interface via rear plug-in units (transition modules)
- Flexible clocking resources
o 200 MHz LVPECL high-stability oscillator distributed through a programmable, low-jitter, clock distribution and division (Analog Devices)
o A front panel RF clock distribution to both FPGAs like above. - Large amount of on board memory
o 2 SRAMS (4 M x 18 bit each) - Front panel connectivity
o 1 e-SATA (RF Clock and Tag)
