I have tried to add full consistency to the initial draft posted on the mailing
list. This is then a version which should be checked by others.

I would propose that sample programs for log parsing based on this format are
written to see how we can handle this type of log format in software. Since I'm
probably the one to start on this work or finish it later on, I propose Python
as the preferred language for such a program.
