build: final fixes for new pathnames and procedures · 7a574e88
      Alessandro Rubini authored
The release tar file (wrs-firmware.tar) is not compressed any more, so
fix the name all around, and the extracting command too.

Similarly, the official release is a .tar file, and it is generated by
the "wraprootfs" step, so this removes "--pack" as a build option (it
was a duplicate of wrapping it up anyways).

Release files are already the ones used for installation, so flash-wrs
doesn't need to build the cpio file any more.

The "macigstring" for installation is concatenated to the cpio file by
tellling the usb-loader to copy it to RAM, so no temporary cpio archive
is created any more: release files are always used unchanged.

Wrapping rootfs creates the release tar dire

This also change the flash_wrs script, to match new conventions
(i.e. we use the run-time initramfs for installation, and so on)

      flashing: new procedure · 0a793309
      Alessandro Rubini authored
This changes the flashing procedure, because the previous one did not
work any more now that the default filesystem size is bigger.

With this commit no jffs2 images is generated any more, and the
filesystem image is not included as a payload in the initramfs booted
      using the USB tools.

Rather, the initramfs downloads wrs-image.tar.gz using TFTP, from the
IP address that replied to DHCP, and untars it to the NAND partitions.

      flash-wrs and doc: various changes · a8710d02
      Alessandro Rubini authored
This changes a while the flash script, and updates the documentation
accordingly. It is a single commit because I couldn't test the script
until all changes were in place

      Main changes:
        - fixed used interation: now it stops asking to remove the jumper
        - if "-b" is used and WRS_BASE_DIR is unset, defaults to current dir
        - all temporary files are in a specific directory, reported to the user
        - the script checks for the required files as first step, to err out soon
        - the 5-second sleep is removed, as there's an interactive step anyways
        - error messages are a little more verbose, to understand what was wrong
        - option parsing is more selective about flags for the flasher
