Fine Delay (FmcDelay1ns4cha) PTS update
The one-year-old PTS for the Fine Delay card has been recently updated, due to user's and software developers feedback and bugs discovered during deployment.
The major changes to the PTS are:
- fully automatized operation with a dedicated calibration box (no cables switching required). Calibration boxes can be requested from CERN.
- two completely new tests added
- test02: insertion delay is measured both using the CNT-91 TDC and the internal DDMTD calibrator. Both measurement are cross-checked.
- test03: new test that calibrates the default tuning value of the VCXO using the CNT-91's oscillator as a reference. This improves delay accuracy if the card is used without White Rabbit.
- test04: new test, measuring jitter of ACAM TDC input. It is helpful for detecting power supply cleanliness issues (ACAM is very sensitive to supply voltage noise - see issue 740)
- use latest Bitstream & WR Core firmware with lots of bugfixes
- use sdbfs-based calibration EEPROM format
