It is not needed because the new bar code reader don't put
a comma between the readings.

This redefines raw_input to return 'y' always in case of
EOF, and closes stdin so that --yes forces this behaviour
when requested to do so.

This is mostly redundant: it has to be decided by the testers
what they really want.

It adds new features like --yes option, prints progress on the screen
and shows the state of the entire run.

Some modifications have been done in order to give less path-dependency
to this script. This needs to be modified to make the modifications
completely transparent (check at the beginning, lines commented with
jdgc tag).

These were overlooked and should not remain there

Now this can be run under python 2.4 and above.

Suppressed with statements, try/except/finally clauses
and hashlib

Use str() or repr() instead
